Foundations

This course is designed to help first-year ESL students build a strong foundation in English-speaking skills. The curriculum emphasizes practical communication and becomes increasingly student-centered as learners advance. Through interactive activities, students will gain confidence and proficiency in spoken English, essential for everyday interactions and academic success. Course Objectives: •  Develop basic speaking skills for everyday and academic contexts. •  Build confidence in using English through practice and interaction. •  Foster a student-centered learning environment that adapts to individual progress.

Talk Time

As a continuation of Foundations , this course is designed to strengthen students' confidence and fluency in real-world communication. With a focus on more complex interactions, students will refine their speaking skills while also improving listening comprehension and reading abilities to support deeper language understanding. The curriculum remains student-centered, encouraging active participation, independent thinking, and meaningful discussions. By the end of the course, students should be able to engage in effortless, everyday conversations without hesitation. Course Objectives: • Improve fluency and accuracy in spoken English for natural conversations. • Strengthen listening comprehension to enhance real-world communication. • Develop reading skills to support vocabulary growth and contextual understanding. • Foster independent learning and critical thinking through student-led activities. • Build confidence in expressing ideas clearly and effectively in various situations.

Speak Easy

This course is designed to provide students with a welcoming, judgment-free space to practice spoken English. Speak Easy encourages open discussion on topics of interest to students, fostering confidence, fluency, and natural communication. The instructor acts as a facilitator, ensuring engaging conversations while offering constructive feedback, correcting errors, and suggesting alternative expressions to enhance clarity and accuracy. Course Objectives: • Build confidence in speaking English through open, student-led discussions. • Improve fluency, pronunciation, and conversational flow. • Expand vocabulary and refine grammar in real-time conversations. • Develop active listening and critical thinking skills. • Foster respectful, engaging, and bias-free discussions on diverse topics.
